Anna and Laura had been friends for a few years already, but the Orthogals project got started when Brigid and Anna “met” online and subsequently Brigid asked Anna if she’d be up for collaborating on a blog about being Orthodox and single. Later, Anna recommended that Brigid meet Laura, as they both lived in the same town. They hit it off, and soon Laura was drafted to become the 3rd Orthogal.
Hello, I’m Brigid. I’m in my mid-twenties, and I live in Indiana. In addition to Orthogals, I’m an intermittent contributor to The Onion Dome. I like knitting, cooking, hiking, dancing, and old books. My favorite word is spizzerinctum: the energy and will necessary to succeed.
Greetings, I’m Anna and I live in the beautiful city of Chicago. Not having married in my 20s, I have spent a lot of time thinking about singleness, dating, and relationships, and how to navigate living the Orthodox life in a world gone crazy.
When not pondering the state of courtship in the world, I like reading, having people over for dinner, board games, traveling, and attempting to play guitar. You can email me at anna dot p212 at gmail dot com
Hi, I’m Laura! I live in Indiana and blog over at TallRayofSunshine about cooking, single gal and married gal struggles and triumphs, learning how to not be a pesky convert to Orthodox Christianity, and my career change into nursing. I got married in 2014 at the age of 32 – and how that happened, I’m still not sure!
My forehead has an invisible tattoo that says “Tell Me Your Problems.” I make awesome from-scratch biscuits and sausage gravy, which has greatly expanded my friend and fan base.
